We sell Garmin products in each of the following categories: Garmin
Integrated Systems; Garmin Panel Mounts; Garmin Remote Units; and,
Garmin Portables.
Integrated Systems: Garmin
specializes in all-glass systems that come in seamlessly integrated
packages. Pilots appreciate the wealth of critical flight data that
Garmin provides at their finger tips. Garmin integrated systems are
customizable with 10, 12 and even 15 inch screen options. Mather
Aviation can install a Garmin Integrated system to help simplify your
cockpit and significantly reduce the pilot’s workload.
Garmin Panel Mounts: Garmin
Panel Mounts enable you to integrate your avionics. Garmin leads the
industry with multitasking, integrated avionics and cutting-edge WAAS
navigation. A Garmin Panel Mount installed by Mather Aviation gives you
many functions in one unit that previously required multiple
instruments. These units provide WAAS Approaches, High Resolution
Mapping, and Enhanced Situational Awareness including airports, VORs,
NDBs, Intersections, Flight Service Stations, published approaches,
SIDs/STARs, Special Use Airspace and geopolitical boundaries.
A detailed basemap shows airports, cities, highways, railroads, rivers,
lakes, coastlines and more. Using information from the built-in terrain
and U.S. obstacles databases, the Garmin Panel Mount can display color
coding to graphically alert you when proximity conflicts are looming.
Garmin Remote Units: Garmin
is pioneering new technologies that will eventually make “free flight” a
reality. The Garmin Remote Units such as the GDL 90 GDL 90 are designed
to transmit, receive and decode Automatic Dependent
Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) messages via onboard datalink. These
devices broadcast the aircraft's position, velocity, projected track,
altitude and flight identification to other equipped aircraft in your
vicinity, as well as to ground-based transceivers maintained by the FAA.
Other Garmin Remote units are deigned to transmit weather data and audio
via satellite radio. Mather Aviation can also install a Garmin
transponder to enhance the utility of a Garmin GPS unit.
Garmin Portable Units:
Mather Aviation sells Garmin Portable units that are flexible enough to
transition from the cockpit to the houseboat or the auto. An easy flick
of a switch from aviation to marine or auto transforms the function of
these unique Garmin Portable Units. Features included on these devices
are terrain obstacle databases, automated log book, and optional
weather, radio and traffic information.
